The post-graduate program being applied for shall be accredited by the Local and Foreign Accredited Universities. It shall be the same/continuation or is closely related to his/her Masteral and/or Doctoral Degrees; or one related to the position he/she may occupy upon finishing the degree; or part of the development plan of the school/department.

For other doctoral programs not included in the list but offered by accredited schools, the applicant may justify why he/she would like to take such a program and submit the course description to the academic council for evaluation and approval.

Faculty Immersion

The Faculty Immersion Program’s primary objective is to enhance further the technical skills and expertise of Mapua faculty members to enable them to impart up-to-date and industry-relevant technical instructions to Mapua students. The program is designed to allow the faculty members to utilize and practice their field of specialization in an applied context.

General Procedure

• All requests for Faculty Immersion should be supported with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Mapúa and the Host Company or Institution. Mechanics and guidelines are subject to the terms and conditions of the executed MOA.
• The Deans/Program Chairs shall screen the candidates from their schools/departments based on the guidelines indicated in the MOA.
• The Dean/Program Chair should recommend to VPAA thru FDO the candidate for Faculty Immersion.
• The VPAA shall then endorse the nominees to the President for final consideration and approval.
• Upon the President’s approval, the Dean/Program Chair will recommend the applicant to the Host Company or Institution for acceptance in Faculty Immersion.
• Upon receipt of Certification of Acceptance, FDO shall execute the Training Agreement between Mapúa and the Host Company or Institution.

Seminars, Workshops, Training, Conferences, and/or Certifications that will keep the faculty members abreast with the advance and latest trends in technology, including online learning and methodologies, as well as how they will be delivered effectively to the students.
