Mapúa University President Dr. Dodjie S. Maestrecampo proudly joined the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) and partner institutions in formalizing a new consortium through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) ceremonial signing held last April 10, 2026 at the DICT Building, UPOU Diliman.
The consortium gathers together leading universities across the country including Bulacan State University, City College of Angeles, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, University of the Cordilleras, Mariano Marcos State University, Technological University of the Philippines, and Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute Of Science And Technology, in a united effort to advance semiconductor training and education.
This partnership aims to equip students with microcredentials in semiconductor design, manufacturing, testing, and advanced electronics. It also seeks to identify top-performing students for training opportunities in Taiwan’s world-class semiconductor factories, providing them with hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
By joining this initiative, the University continues to empower learners to become leaders in transformative industries, ensuring that Mapúans are prepared to thrive in the global semiconductor sector and contribute to the nation’s technological advancement.
