Benchmarking Activity

The delegates from Central Mindanao University (CMU) conducted the benchmarking activity at Mapúa University – Intramuros Campus. This was held in the Main Building, 2nd Floor, View deck Room, last August 08, 2024. Engr. Cesar C. Coronado, Director of the Office of Planning and Quality Management (OPQM), introduced his staff, beginning with Ms. Lauren Bolata, QA and Academic Accreditation Supervisor; Mr. Emil Renfred A. Rendon, Institutional Planning Specialist; Ms. Necifora R. Reta, Document Information Coordinator; Ms. Evelyn O. Conde, Technical Assistant.
After Engr. Cesar C. Coronado introduced his staff, the CMU team was presented next, led by Dr. Bienvenido M. Butanas Jr., Assistant Director of Quality Assurance. He was accompanied by Ms. Fatima Grace B. Lagua and Ms. Charlyn C. Losaria from the Office of Quality Assurance; Mr. Marivir M. Ortega and Mr. Erwin P. Ambasa, representatives from the Mathematics Department; Ms. Jenyliza T. Ucang and Ms. Cherly C. Cordova from the Science Education Department representative; Ms. Ruby G. Española, representing the Civil Engineering Department; and Mr. Zeus S. Elumba from the Institute of Biological Sciences.
Engr. Cesar C. Coronado, Director of the Office of Planning and Quality Management (OPQM), led the session and discussed the Planning and Quality Management frameworks, organizational structures, and best practices for accreditation under Philippine Technological Council – Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology (PTC-ACBET) and Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
The CMU team toured the School of EECE, led by Dean Arnold C. Paglinawan, who wore a Mapúa red jacket, together with the newly appointed EE Program Chair, Dr. Michael Pacis, in a Mapúa red polo shirt, and former EE Program Chair, Engr. Ronald Santiago, who wore a Mapúa black jacket.
