At AlmaU Sharmanov School of Health Sciences, he delivered a compelling lecture titled “Psychological Incapacity as Basis for Nullity of Marriage.” This presentation delved into the complex interplay between psychological dynamics and marital stability within the Filipino cultural and legal framework. Through real-life case studies, he illustrated the severe implications of psychological disorders on marital health, resonating deeply with the audience and bridging theoretical knowledge with practical realities.

Post-discussion vibrancy shines through at AlmaU School of Management as students and Professor Askarov Dauren share a relaxed moment with Dr. Arias, reflecting a collective sense of relief and gratitude after a meaningful lecture addressing the intricacies of mental health.

Another significant event was his lecture at AlmaU School of Management titled “Mental Health Is Global Health.” He emphasized the global imperative of addressing mental health issues across all demographics. The interactive “Stress Barometer” activity and discussions on the stigma surrounding mental health highlighted the importance of community and professional support networks. The Katuwang Mental Health Program in Tagaytay, a mental health initiative he helped establish, served as a model for integrated community-based mental health care, showcasing the effectiveness of holistic mental health advocacy with a strong focus on inclusivity.

His engagement at AlmaU also led to an invitation to the 4th International Scientific Conference “Challenges to Modern Law: An International Perspective,” hosted by Kazimieras Simonavicius University (KSU) in Lithuania. This invitation resulted from his interaction with Dr. Loreta Tauginiene, Vice-Rector and Ombudsperson of KSU, whom he met during the AlmaU forum. At the KSU conference, he presented his academic paper titled “The Intricate Relationship Between Psychology and Law Through the Lens of Marital Nullification in the Philippines.” This interdisciplinary study aimed to bridge the gap between psychological practices and legal standards, offering valuable insights for both fields.

These interconnected events highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the global relevance of integrating psychology, law, and mental health. Dr. Arias’s journey from AlmaU to KSU underscored a shared commitment to ethical education, mental health advocacy, and the development of robust academic frameworks. The collaborative efforts and shared expertise have paved the way for future advancements in these critical fields, emphasizing the interconnectedness of mental well-being, legal integrity, and inclusivity in shaping healthier, more resilient communities.
